Chuck Leavell and Sea Level brought their brand of southern rock-fusion to My Father's Place in Roslyn, NY in October of 1977. The band played songs from their 2 album releases, including Cats On The Coast, and included a song from their next album, On The Edge, in this set.
There was a time in Long Island's cultural history when the whole world looked here for the next big trend in rock 'n' roll. That was between 1974 and 1980, the heyday of My Father's Place, a cabaret in Roslyn. And Michael Epstein, known as Eppy, ran the whole shebang. (The New York Times, August 27, 2000)
This concert was recorded by Backstage Limited and broadcast by the BBC on their London Wavelengths series. The band is introduced by Dennis McNamara.
